Club Visit Program

Date: 26^th August, 2014

 

Venue: Nawalpur, Nawalparasi        

 

How:
With the concept of club escorting program given by Region Coordinator Leo Kirti Raj Tiwari, Leo Club of Bharatpur went on a club visit to Leo Club of Nawalpur Nawalparasi where the the representatives of Leo Club of Nawalpur Nawalparasi were President Leo Sushma Aryal, Treasurer Leo Kisan Chapaign and Leo Nabraj Subedi where as from Leo Club of Bharatpur representatives were President Leo Santosh Majakoti, Secretary Leo Bikal Ghimire and Treasurer Leo Sunrise Adhikari along with Region Coordinator Leo Kirti Raj Tiwari. Club escorting is a concept under which Leo Club of Bharatpur will be escorting Leo Club of Nawalpur Nawalparasi for six months and in this six months these two club must conduct a joint meeting once a month and should organize two joint programs within six months. During these session, Leo Club of Nawalpur Nawalparasi will be benefited from Leo Club of Bharatpur with various aspects for making the club living and energetic.

 

Beneficiary:  
A good interaction and discussion about the club escorting was held and the concept was made clear.

 

 

Weeding Program

 Date: 25 ^th August, 2014

Venue: Saptagandaki Chowk

How:
Leo Club of Bharatpur successfully accomplished the weeding program.  In L/Y 2013/14 Leo club of Bharatpur had planted 54 plants in that area along the sides of the road. However, only 49 of them survived and this year with a theme for their long term preservation and with motto to save them we have conducted this weeding , fertilizing and watering program. We see many other leo clubs too doing plantation program but it may be the first time we have conducted such program for long term preservation of the plants that we planted. If we don't have regular monitoring for such plants they cannot be successful and plantation may not be effective. Planting and leaving is not a big deal but taking care of the plants for preservation is a good deed. And we Leo Club of Bharatpur have successfully maintained those 49 plants. It's a sad part that 5 plants could not survive but we are happy that we have been able to maintain those 49 plants healthy and we hope this plants will help to maintain utmost greenery. This program was assisted to us by Saptagandaki Area Committee and Narayani High School ( Junior Red Cross Circle and Children  Echo Club) .  Program was conducted under chairmanship of Club President Leo Santosh Majakoti and hosted by Secretary Leo Bikal Ghimire where as the program coordinator was Leo Ritu Regmi. We have been coordinating with the very organization - Saptagandaki Area Committee and Narayani High School ( Junior Red Cross Circle and Children  Echo Club) to make this program sustainable and participatory in the days to come.

Beneficiary:
Natural Greenery and plant preservation have been beneficial to all the people around
and eco saystem.

Participated in Joint Region Meeting of Region-3 and Region-4

Date: 23rd August, 2014

Venue: Sauraha

 

How:
President Leo Santosh Majakoti and Secretary leo Bikal Ghimire participated in Region Meeting called by Region Coordinators Leo Kirti Raj Tiwari (RC of Region- 3) and Leo Govinda Dhakal (RC of Region-4) with presence of Leo Amit Kumar Gupta, Treasurer, Leo District 325 B2, and Leo Sujan Adhikari, Area-1 Coordinator. The program was done under chairmanship of Leo Govinda Dhakal.

 

Beneficiary:  
A good interaction was done among different clubs, different agendas of District were discussed, Evaluation schemes for President, Secretary and Treasurer were discussed and a new concept of Club Escorting was Presented by Leo Kirti Raj Tiwari

Joint Relief Collection program with LIONS of AREA-III, District 325 B2

Date: 19^th August, 2014

Venue: Lions Chowk, Narayangharh

How:
It was a relief collection program with whole Lions clubs of Area - III , Lions District 325 B2 Nepal with gracious presence of 2^nd VDG Lions Ghanshyam Bhattarai. And Leo Club of Bharatpur showed its active participation in the very relief collection program and Leo Santosh Majakoti, Club President  donated Rs.1005 (one thousand and five) from the side of the club for the victims of Floods in various parts of the nation. It was a relief collection program for over all flood victims of the Nation. Lions of all clubs of Area -III have shown the participation and helped in this program but among leos, Leo Club of Bharatpur was only the Leo club to show the participation.

Beneficiary:
Reliefs was collected for the flood victims of the different parts of NEPAL.

Drinking Water Distribution Program

Date: 11^th August, 2014

Venue: Devghat

How:
We all the leo members of Bharatpur club went to devghat in the morning at 7 am and prepared the drinking water with propose of distribution to thousands of people who visit the devhgat with the religious motive on the month of Shrawan. And as it was the last monday of the shrawan the crows was more. Some new interested members to join the club had also participated the program. The program was done with coodination of Joint treasurer Leo Bikash Karki.

 

Beneficiary:
The benificial aspect of the program is that nearly 2000 people were advantaged with the drinking water and the Leo Club of Bharatpur was able to reach thousands of people with direct conversation during the whole water distribution session and we were blessed for our deeds by all the visitors that day.
 

 

 

 

 

 

PST BOOST UP CAMP and District Handover Program

Date: July 25th and July 26th, 2014

Venue: ADB Training Hall, Regional Agriculture Office, Birendranagar

 

How:

With the theme ' boosting a base will make a year less' PST BOOST UP CAMP and District Handover program  was Hosted by Leo Club of Bharatpur and the program was chaired by current District President Leo Sudip Koirala. The chief guest of the program was District Governer of Lion District 325 B2, Lion Ramesh Kumar Agrawal PMJF  where as the special guests were Immediate Past District Governer of Lion District 325 B2, Lion Mahendra Narayan Shrestha MJF, Vice District Governer 325 B2, Lion Ghanshyam Bhattarai MJF along with other Lions and Leos Dignitaries. In the program there was participation of all District Board members and District PSTs. The program was of two days and most of the clubs of Leo District 325 B2 had shown their active participation with a participant number of about 82. On the first day, District Hand over program was carried out where the Immediate Past District President  Leo Sandeep Kasaudhan(L/Y 2013/14) handed over the president tenure to Leo Sudip Koirala ( District President L/Y 2014/15). The master of ceremony was district secretary Leo Salim Shrestha. On the evening of 1st day various entertaining program was carried out and there were different awards as well like samosa king, crazy leo and online music award where different leos had shown their active participation.

 

On the second day, PST schooling program was carried out. The resource person gave their excellent presentation to boost up all the PSTs as the theme of the program. Following were the resource person:

Beneficiary:

As it was a PST schooling program all the PST fellows of the District gained knowledge about how to make their tenure most effective. On the other hand, various question answer series was also held so that Leo fellows got opportunity to clear their queries and confusions about their responsibility and to carry out the club activities more effectively with more intimacy and harmony among the club members. Similarly, the entertainment program like samosa king, online music and crazy leo really created a romantic and chilling atmosphere so that all leos enjoyed to the fullest and the program got a huge success. Over all, the program indeed got succeed in a happy and peaceful environment.

 

HAND OVER PROGRAM

Date:  July 4th, 2014

Venue: Friendz Cafe, Bharatpur

How:

Handover program of Leo club of Bharatpur was successfully conducted with gracious presence of Campus chief of Brendra Multiple Campus Dr. Keshav Bhakta Sapkota and Multiple District President Leo Rajendra Shrestha as Special guest along with other Lions and Leos from different clubs of Chitwan and Nawalparasi has shown their presence. Along with the hand over program, Immediate Past President Leo Kirti Raj Tiwari put forth the award distribution ceremony in which Leo Rajendra Shrestha was awarded as Multiple District President and all the program coordinators of the year were awarded where Leo Manoj Khadka was awarded with Leo of the year and Leo Anup Bhujel and Leo Dreesti Wasti were awarded as approaching Leo award.

 

Beneficiary:
A good interaction with the club presidents and members of various clubs of Chitwan and Nawalparasi was a beneficial aspect of the program where as the presence of Lions and campus chief of Birendra Multiple Campus made the program more standard. On the other hand, the award ceremony has encouraged all the members with a notion of increasing leadership in them.
